Found this little tidbit out today:
When you have files that won’t delete in your Trash, such as a failed downloaded version of Firefox 3 that stalled on mounting, and is “in use,” you can use the Secure Empty Trash feature in the Finder menu. Most of you probably new this, but I just learned. :p
